The Academic Program provides intellectual stimulation and curiosity, rational thought and maturity of mind. Students are taught the value and equality of all subjects, and encouraged to pursue the mix of the sciences and arts. Regular visits to Museum, BITS, CEERI labs, interaction with educationists and scientist supplement classroom teaching.

Our priority is to assist our students to achieve academic qualifications. Our ultimate goal is for all students to leave PPS on a pathway to their future career. For this the school strives facilitate the students in every possible way.


The school adopts innovative teaching strategies at different levels to make teaching interesting and effective in order to impart knowledge effectively. At each level, whether it is Primary, Middle, Secondary or Sr. Secondary, use of equipped advanced labs and latest multimedia is promoted to help the students to acquire practical and conceptual knowledge of all subjects. In particular the teaching strategies at each level are children and knowledge oriented by using advanced teaching and audio visual aids.


At PPS students are evaluated on the basis of their willingness to learn and the efforts they make to reach their goals. Based on continuous and comprehensive evaluation system, assessment in the school is a combined effort on the part of the teachers, the parents and the students to better understand the learning experiences for each student. Processes of learning and the relationships that students create while learning is accorded high significance. From the middle classes onwards, students are gradually but firmly oriented to follow the board examination pattern. Practice, research, articulation and accuracy assume high importance for the senior students. Opportunities are provided for students to orient themselves to national and international level competitive examinations. Students are guided and encouraged to explore their own levels of mastery and potential for growth in a variety of competitive setting. Every child in the school has a mentor to guide him. Relatively small class size enables teaching staff to focus on an individual enhancing effective learning.


It is the policy of the School that all work should be completed in school at the primary level. At the end of every day, one period is assigned where revision work is completed under the supervision of the class teachers. Students who need extra tutorials are coached free of cost after school hours. All children are encouraged to spend their free time in reading and improving their language skills.


The school recognizes the importance of paying special attention to academically weak students and devotes extra study hours for such students whenever considered necessary. In addition to this the students may be referred to other campus resources such as Mentor System or counsellor, based on maturity needs of the child. The counsellor deals with any emotional or personality problems of the children. A direct interaction between the parents and the counsellor helps the child to overcome his personal problems.


Examinations may not be the true test of a child’s ability but regular classroom tests and periodic assessments at the school level are indicative of scholastic achievement. The results enable the teachers as well as students to assess their orientation and take corrective measures, if required, to accord due attention in subjects and topics in which the child may need additional assistance. It is completely based on CCE- Pattern.
